Cluster project activities

Project work is the main form of cluster activity. INCOTECH. It is through projects that cooperation between participants, partners, and external stakeholders takes place.

The cluster does not implement projects «instead» of the participants. Instead, INCOTECH creates institutional, organizational and partnership framework, within which projects can be prepared, structured and implemented more effectively.

What projects are being implemented within INCOTECH?

Within the cluster, projects are considered and supported that:

  • have a clear engineering or science-intensive component;
  • involve application implementation or scaling;
  • require interdisciplinary collaboration;
  • focused on recovery, industrial development or exports.

Projects can be at different stages of readiness — from concept formation to pilot implementation and further development.

The role of the cluster in
projects

INCOTECH is involved in projects in the following roles:

  • initiator or co-initiator of the project idea;
  • a platform for forming a project team or consortium;

  • institutional partner for communication with donors, partners and support programs;

  • coordinating party at the stages of project preparation and implementation.

The format of cluster participation is determined separately for each project.

Project stages

Projects within INCOTECH may be at the following stages:

  • Concept formation — idea, preliminary assessment, search for partners;

  • Design and preparation — team formation, technical and organizational structure;

  • Pilot implementation — testing solutions, pilot implementations;

  • Scaling — development, mass production or entry into new markets.

This classification is used for internal navigation and transparency of project activities.

Typical project areas

Cluster projects may cover, in particular, the following areas:

  • engineering solutions in energy and energy efficiency;
  • technologies for industrial and critical infrastructure;
  • dual-use and applied security technologies;
  • new materials and production technologies;

  • space and related engineering developments.

A specific list of projects is formed according to the composition of the participants and the strategic priorities of the cluster.

How to add projects

The project can be presented within INCOTECH:

  • cluster member;
  • a partner organization;
  • formed project team.

The decision to include a project in the cluster's activities is made taking into account its compliance with the principles and areas of INCOTECH's activities.
